Grade Level Speaker Program

Each year, the Taylor PTSA curates and sponsors a thoughtful lineup of speakers in coordination with school administration. These programs are designed to provide each grade level with an inspiring and age-appropriate presentation, focused on topics that support students’ academic, social, and personal development.

Proposed 2026 - 2027 Speaker Schedule

Captain McCoy - Driver Safety (Fulfills Senate Bill 30)

This rule requires school districts and charter schools to provide instruction to students in grades 9-12 on proper interaction with peace officers during traffic stops and other in-person encounters. 

10/20/26 - 10th grade

Jessie Hansen - Healthy Relationships

Jessie takes a research-based approach to teaching the importance of making good choices. She gives students four proven tools that can take their lives from average to extraordinary. She addresses healthy vs. toxic relationships, bullying prevention, lessons from history's greatest leaders and she does all this while sharing personal, hilarious stories and dynamic pop music.

4/14/27 - 12th grade 

Kevin Brooks - “Just Wiggle Your Toes”

An awakening for teens to learn the dangers of drinking and driving. How one man's unfortunate incident told by those closest to him and how it permanently altered their lives. By the end, he leaves you with a message of hope for the future.

Proposed for 4/28 or 4/30 - 11th grade

We will be supporting staff with programs specifically tailored to 9th grade.
